ZAHEDAN (Press TV) -- Two members of the outlaw Jondollah terrorist group have been hanged in the Iranian city of Zahedan, says the local judiciary.

“Two members of this terrorist group, known as Abdolnasser Taheri and Yaqoub Mehr-Nahad, were sentenced to death as Mohareb
[enemy of God] and Mofsed fi al-Arz
[corrupt on earth] and were executed early Sunday,” Head of the Justice Office of the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan, Ebrahim Hamidi, said on Tuesday.
The Jondollah terrorist group is led by Abdolmalek Rigi who is believed to be responsible for murders, beatings and hostage-takings in southeast Iran. The group has orchestrated terrorist operations in the southeastern provinces in a bid to create instability and sectarian strife among Iranians.
In mid-June, Pakistani authorities handed over Abdolhamid Rigi, brother of the Abdolmalek Rigi, to the Islamic Republic of Iran based on a security agreement between Tehran and Islamabad on the extradition of criminals.
In retaliatory action, Jondollah attacked a police station and abducted 16 police personnel in the Iranian city of Saravan on June 12. The hostages were reportedly taken across the border into Pakistan.
